I've moved!

Hello everyone! I know it's been awhile since I've kept in touch on this blog and it's because there was a new one in the making. Now that I've joined dane + dane studios, I'll be taking care of our human blog called The Sope Box.

I've switched all of you who subscribed over to the new blog, so just let me know if you'd no longer like to receive updates and I'll remove you from the list.

While waiting for a new post, you may want to head over to Amelia Soper Photography to see some of the awesome people I've photographed this past year.

If you'd like to see what we're up to on the pet side, check out The Dane's Dish. Soon we'll have both blogs linked from our site, but it's been a bit crazy in the studio as of late, so it might be awhile.

Talk to you all soon!!!

No Sleep 'till Oregon!

Hello Everyone!

I am happy to report that my first official Dane & Dane travel shoot with Nichole in Oregon was amazing! It was a whirlwind President's day weekend- 2 photographers, 4 days, 5 shoots, 3 hotels, 2 cities & 7 dogs. We shot for CityDog, Dane & Dane, Plural, & Zen Haus. It was Rocco's first time in a hotel and his first time being a doggie male model and, all in all, he held up like a champ. Below are some of the shots from the weekend... Including a few from our first stop in Astoria.

Astoria

Astoria, Oregon- what an amazing place. If ever in town, be sure to swing by the Wet Dog Cafe. Tons of awesome beers and great burgers. And if you ever get the chance to stay at the Cannery Pier Hotel, by all means, do it. Isn't Rocco a fabulous model?!

Puppy Love MuttMixer

Last Wednesday I was able to shoot a bit at the CityDog Puppy Love MuttMixer at the W Hotel. It was a great night full of tons of dogs and their people just mixin it up at the W. What a beautiful venue for an awesome event!

CityDog Magazine

The Winter issue of CityDog Magazine is finally on the rack and with it, my first published photos! I know don't have the cover or anything, but it's still totally exciting for me! I have a couple shots in the "Cool Products" section (look for the Yorkies in knit scarves) as well as a couple images in the Big Dogs Tiny Spaces article that I shot with Nichole for Dane & Dane. I also shot the REI product images for their give-away. Check it out, it's a great magazine, especially if you have a dog in the Northwest. Plus, you'll see more shots of mine in the future. Pick up a copy today!

Lauren & Luke, your pics are up!!

Lauren, Luke and I all met last Saturday on a very chilly morning at Perigo Park in Redmond. They were total troopers dealing with the cold and the rain/snow to get some great engagement pics. Round two will be at the bar, stay tuned! Head over to www.soperphotography.com if you'd like to see more of their pics.
